The Motability Scheme offers simple, all-inclusive leasing to anyone receiving a qualifying mobility allowance. You simply use your allowance to lease the scooter or powered wheelchair of your choice from a wide range of makes and models. The price of every lease includes insurance, breakdown and maintenance.

O'Brien Mobility has been a Motability Scheme Dealer since the Scheme began and in 2020 we excelled in our customer care by winning the Dealer of the Year Award in our category. This has been achieved through listening, responding and working closely with our customers.
We welcome all Motability Scheme enquiries and will arrange to visit your home, post relevant information to you or arrange for you to visit our well stocked showroom to view and road-test suitable products.
We are able to supply any product available to the Scheme including scooters, powered wheelchairs and custom built powered wheelchairs. Home visits and assessments are completed by an occupational therapist who can help you choose the most suitable product for your needs and offer advice on things such as ramps and storage.
Our main aim is to supply you with the most appropriate product and we believe if the assessment is comprehensive, you will be supplied with the right product for your needs.
We aim to keep our customers mobile and if your product is not available due to damage or repair, we will replace it with a suitable loan product for the duration of the repair.

Motability Dealer Awards Winner
Every year, the Motability Scheme awards powered wheelchair and scooter dealerships who have achieved a particularly high standard of customer service. Scheme customers, new and existing, are contacted on a random basis to ask for feedback on their experience and from this, awards are given out in three categories according to the size of their operation.

Scooter
We offer a range of mobility scooters from small, easy to transport models to sturdier, road legal models for longer distances. Scooters are suitable if you can travel relatively independently, get on and off easily and can use a bicycle-style steering column with both hands.
Powered Wheelchairs
Our powered wheelchairs come fitted with standard seats and controls, plus the option of adaptations or accessories. A powered wheelchair supports those needing mobility assistance, those less confident getting on or off seats or who can only operate joystick controls.
