    My recent experience was nothing short of a disaster. From the moment I dropped the car off for a simple MOT, there was a complete lack of communication, empathy, and basic customer service. What should have taken a day ended up dragging on for eight days — and the action finally taken on day 8 could easily have been done on day 1, avoiding all the stress and inconvenience.

    I received zero proactive updates and had to chase them daily, only to be given conflicting information every time. To make matters worse, the courtesy car provided was a small electric vehicle — completely unsuitable for our needs as Motability users. One day would have been manageable, but over a week? Completely unacceptable. The EV was not accessible or safe for the intended user, and there was absolutely no understanding or care shown for this.

    Adding insult to injury, as someone who doesn't usually drive an EV, I was forced to rely on public charging points — racking up nearly £50 in costs. When I raised this issue, I was met with a dismissive attitude: essentially, “too bad.”

    The facilities themselves are poor — no proper parking, limited access, and an overall lack of professionalism. There’s no sense of customer care, no accountability, and certainly no empathy.

    This experience has cost this business a loyal customer. I’ll be taking my custom — and my trust — to Toyota from now on.

    Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us. I’m truly sorry to hear that your visit did not meet your expectations — please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience and frustration caused.

    Following your feedback, I wanted to clarify a few key points and provide some context around what happened. Unfortunately, your vehicle failed its MOT due to two unroadworthy front tyres, with further advisories on two additional tyres and the brake pads and discs. During inspection, our technicians also discovered that the locking wheel nut key was missing, which prevented us from removing the wheels and carrying out the necessary work immediately.

    We responded quickly by ordering a replacement locking wheel nut key and contacted you the same day to inform you of the situation. However, despite our best efforts, the key was delayed and eventually placed on backorder, which extended the time required to complete the repairs. Once it became clear the part wouldn’t arrive in time, we arranged for the locking bolts to be manually removed and replaced with a brand-new set so we could progress with the work.

    Unfortunately, this also delayed Kwik Fit’s ability to refit the tyres, as we had to reschedule their visit for the next available appointment. We do understand this extended the process far beyond what anyone would expect from a standard MOT, and we genuinely regret the impact this had on your plans.

    Regarding the courtesy car, I fully appreciate that the electric Corsa provided was not suitable for your needs. We raised a request via Motability to arrange a more appropriate vehicle, but unfortunately, this was not actioned on their end, and our own fleet didn’t have a more suitable alternative available at the time. I completely understand how frustrating and inconvenient this must have been, particularly with the added burden of charging costs.
