Being interested in what a Motability car deal might mean, we popped in to Arnold Clark on Hamilton Road, Mount Vernon, Glasgow, where we were introduced to Gavin. He answered all the questions we had in easily understandable terms, along with all the benefits of taking up a Motability deal, of which there are many. We then took a day or so to think about it, and rang him to book a test drive of the car we'd been interested in.
After the test drive during the week after, we spoke with him more about the car than the Motability details, and he answered every question quickly, easily, and in terms we understood.
With all our questions answered, and knowing this would be a good course for us, we decided to order right there and then. Gavin took our booking and explained that due to car demand and the fact that Motability cars were built from new (unregistered), he advised us that it may take a few months at most, which we were fine with. About 6 weeks later he rang us to tell us the car was in, and we picked it up in the middle of the following week. Today is the end of the first day of us now having the car, and we love it.
We chose a Mokka Ultimate, and our reasons were because:
* The vehicle comes with insurance for up to 3 drivers (over the age of 25).
* It comes with full breakdown cover, and a replacement car can be arranged if need be, I believe at no cost to ourselves.
* It also covers the cost of new tyres when required.
* It has full warranty & covers any problems with anything going wrong for the whole period of our lease (3yrs)
* There is a 20,000 miles per year limit without any extra costs.
* Basically all we have to cover is the cost of putting fuel in.
All of this is covered on the Motability online site, but Gavin did a brilliant job of covering all of these details and more, in not only a perfectly professional manner, but also in a very relaxed, easy going, and friendly way as well. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with, and to just generally chat to too, and he happily said if we have any issues, questions, or anything at all that we need to talk about in relation to the car, about Motability, or anything at all he can help with, then we were more than welcome to ring him, or just call in. Now that's the kind of service I'd love to see all other service providers give, because it's exactly what a customer both deserves, and wishes they'd get. Our sincere thanks to him and the other staff at this Arnold Clark's dealership. I'd happily recommend him/them to anyone knowing my word will be in great hands.
