I'm sure it would be in the history,so I got the RAC to send the report I in. Still nothing.Also they told me a Mechanic was going to take the car home to see if the fault would show up 4 him. They rang me in the morning to say he had taken it home and found no fault,little did they know I popped down at midnight and my car was still there,so clearly they lied to me,I do not trust this garage to do anything at all ,it has been a complete farce from taking the on(they didn't give me the car I ordered)to the servicing All they seem to do is fob you off with excuses and liesResponse from Stoneacre Renault RotherhamNov 26, 2024Hi Paul,
We have investigated the matter and can confirm that when your vehicle came in in August 2024, the RAC had already erased all the faults from your vehicle and there were no faults present at the time of testing. As we explained the manufacturers require us to plug into the diagnostic system with the faults still in the ECU so a full diagnostic can be completed, we understand that since your visit the fault has not reoccurred and you have since been back into the garage to have your service completed without any concern.
We understand the frustration of us not being able to diagnose your original fault however the RAC are aware not to erase the faults if the vehicle requires recovering to the garage.
