- Rating 3.0Oct 14, 2024The car order and collection process went smoothly, with a warm welcome and refreshments provided. However, the payment process was concerning. A few days prior to collection, we received an abrupt email requesting full payment via bank transfer, which seemed unusual for a reputable business that typically accepts card payments.
As an IT professional aware of online fraud, this raised red flags. Attempts to verify the legitimacy of the email were unsuccessful, as we received no response to our emails and no callback from customer service despite their assurance.
Upon arrival, we expressed concerns about the payment method, which appeared suspicious. We received little acknowledgment and were simply instructed to proceed with the bank transfer. When we inquired about paying by cash or card, we were bluntly told “NO,” without further explanation or apology.
