    Disappointed with Renault Austral Purchase at Arnold Clark Renault Preston
    I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent purchase of a Renault Austral E-Tech FHEV Techno Esprit Alpine 5dr Auto from your Preston branch (Riversway Motor Park, Admiral Way, PR2 2TY) on 27th April 2024.

    Firstly, the delivery experience was unacceptable. The day before I was due to collect the car, I was informed of a 3-4 week delay. This was incredibly frustrating as I had already made arrangements based on the original delivery date.

    Secondly, the condition of the car upon collection was far below par. The interior was dirty, floor mats were missing, and there was no washer fluid. Additionally, the tire pump, which I believe should be included, was absent.

    Thirdly, despite being charged £25 for petrol, the car only had a maximum of £10 worth of fuel. This lack of attention to detail is concerning.

    Most importantly, the car itself is not performing as advertised. The engine sounds rough upon startup, more akin to a tractor than a modern vehicle. Furthermore, the fuel efficiency is nowhere near the advertised 50-60 MPG. I am currently only achieving around 24 MPG.

    To add insult to injury, when I contacted the manager today to discuss these issues, he was rude and dismissive. This only compounded the negative experience.

    Due to the aforementioned problems, I have written to formally reject the car.
